About the Blog

001-015

Welcome–and thank you for stopping by!  This blog was born in June 2008 as a gift for my family and remains so even today.

You can read the most recent posts by simply scrolling down or clicking on the title of an individual post.  They are also archived by month.  You can see a particular month’s posts by clicking on the link on the right.

Word Press, in addition, makes it easy to comment on anything you see or read.  Your comments will be sent to my email and then appear on the blog later that day.  You can also read and comment on other people’s comments.

Tags also appear under many of the posts.  You can click on any of the tags and find all the posts related to that topic.

There is also a “Search” mechanism on the right.  You can type in a name, keyword, or place, and it will find any and all posts, pages, or links that correspond.

Please share the blog’s URL–www.samanthahines.wordpress.com— with anyone you think might like to read it.

And please “Like” us on Facebook (button to the right).

Thank you for reading!

  2. Dear Samantha,

I have just found your adorable blog. Thank you for sharing. I would be very interested in knowing what Adoption Agency that your family has used. We have just started the process of research and would love your feedback. Thank you 🙂

    • Hi, Kat,

Where are you located? We’re in Rhode Island, and the name of our agency is Children’s Friend and Service–RI’s oldest adoption agency. I can give you additional information if you would like.

      Thanks,
      Samantha

  3. Samantha!
WOW your blog is fantastic! Best of luck with the boys! I love all your pics and stories! Your Blog is the best gift a parent can give!

  4. Hi Ms. Hines!

I posted the link you sent me on my wall for my 493 friends to see. I hope they look at it. It’s very interesting!
    Bless you!

    • Thank you so much for the nomination. My understanding of the award is that it is awarded to blogs with fewer than 200 followers. If that is not the case and blogs with followers in excess of 200 can participate, please let me know. Again, my thanks.

  5. Great blog Samantha. You make things so accessible. In a short paragraph you capture the waiting/worry/faith it takes to raise a child with a problem like epilepsy. My son, who I adopted almost 22 years ago, struggled with asthma in addition to ADHD and learning challenges. I remember those moments of holding my breath, waiting to exhale. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving.

  6. It looks like you cover lots of syndromes and symptoms… my son has CHARGE Syndrome, is DeafBlind and now Scoliosis… and so much more…
I have a blog… you can check it out if you feel like it. I would love to hear your thoughts.

I would love to hear your thoughts . . .
