Though we will not win any awards for our choice of fashions today, we felt it was a sacrifice worth making if it meant even a few extra minutes outside in what had to be one of the most glorious–albeit curious–days we’ve had around here in a long, long time. From the ankles down we were dressed for winter as remnants of last week’s snow storm remained on the ground; but all that was required, really, was a long-sleeved shirt or a sweatshirt as the temperatures continued to rise.
We played outside,
Checked for and greeted new buds,
Practiced a little baseball,
And decorated Templeton, who got in on the action and is still–nine hours later–sleeping off the excitement!
And we said goodbye to the snow . . . let’s hope for a good, long while.
